Creating the Heart of Village South
As Village South continues to take shape, we are looking carefully at every part of the neighborhood—not only the homes themselves, but also the spaces residents will share.
The original site plan included a winding landscaped path through the green space separating the two phases of the development. It was an attractive concept that provided a natural connection between the courtyard villas and townhomes.

However, as construction has progressed and we have watched the community come to life, we have begun exploring another possibility: creating a more open central green that can become the true heart of Village South.
Rather than designing this area primarily as a place to walk through, an open courtyard or community lawn would create a place to gather and stay awhile. It could offer residents room for informal conversations, neighborhood gatherings, outdoor meals, small community events, or simply a quiet afternoon enjoying the landscape.
We envision a beautiful shared green framed by sidewalks, mature landscaping, comfortable seating, and the architecture of Village South. The open lawn would preserve the views across the neighborhood while providing flexibility for residents to use the space in many different ways.

This direction also reflects one of the central ideas behind Village South: creating a community that encourages connection. Front porches, walkable surroundings, thoughtfully designed homes, and shared outdoor spaces all contribute to a neighborhood where residents can naturally get to know one another.
The winding path was designed to connect the two phases physically. We believe an open community green may do something even more meaningful—it could connect the people who live here.
Plans are still being refined, but we are excited about the opportunity to create an outdoor space that is beautiful, welcoming, and uniquely Village South.
What would you enjoy seeing in this shared space? A central lawn, shaded seating, gardens, a fire feature, or space for occasional neighborhood gatherings? We would love to hear your ideas as the vision continues to develop.
